Specialty coffee in Ljubliana
When I go to a new place, the first thing I check is the specialty coffee. I'm curious about the coffee culture in the country, who goes to such places, and why.

Ljubljana did not disappoint. It has a decent number of places for a relatively small town. I think we covered all of them, but I will only mention my favorite ones.
Hands down, this is my favorite coffee place in Ljubljana. I loved everything about it — the coffee, the vibe, the location next to the modern art gallery, and even the cocktails!

Tip: Try their special cascara-based drink with orange juice and elderflower syrup — so tasty and refreshing!

The flat white was a little weak for my taste, so the second time I got a filter coffee, and it was good! I especially liked their interior — it feels like you are at someone's fancy house, and that someone has good taste.

Tip: Try their bagel with pesto and mortadella!

There is something special about cafes in museums, don't you think? This one is very spacious and has an adorable terrace outside. We tried cortado and flat white, both did not dissapoint.

Tip: This is also a beer place, so if you visit in the evening, maybe you can try it!

Kavarna Specialka by GOAT STORY
I am probably biased because goat is my favorite animal, but this 'kavarna' has a special place in my heart. It's part of the big art space Center Rog and has a huge sunny terrace with a river view. They have a wide selection of coffee beans from very interesting countries.

Tip: Buns! Cinnamon buns.

And another coffee in the museum! As always, it's a super nice space and probably the second-best coffee we had in Ljubljana. This is also a roastery, and next time I would definitely buy beans here.

Tip: These guys have two locations — the other one is very central, and you can grab your coffee to go while enjoying a stroll along the river.
